Programme Aims

This Programme aims to deliver a quality education, with generic and IT knowledge and skills, that will enable students to achieve the skills required for develeoping a career in the IT industry, and a solid foundation for further studies.The Programme develops students' both verbal and written language ability and enhance their communication and presentation skills, so as to enable them to pursue a successful career in the IT industry. Emphasis Is also placed on the development of interpersonal skills and teamwork, and help students to become self-directed lifelong learners.

* Foundation Diploma students may consider taking the optional mathematics module for the application of Higher Diploma programmes in VTC or for related civil service jobs which required mathematics to be one of their general entry requirements.


Students will benefit from the course which develops their skills for employment in the IT industry. Students will be able to enter various sectors in the IT or related industry.


Foundation Diploma graduates will be eligible to apply for VTC's Higher Diploma Programmes, which normally require five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language.


VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme name, content or change the offering campus(es) before class commencement if circumstances so warrant.
